Coloured Papers

FABRIANO

The Fabriano paper mill has been producing paper since 1283. Cylinder mould machines were added in the nineteenth century and there is now an extensive range of both hand and mould made papers made at this mill. For those thinking of visiting this part of Italy there is an excellent museum at Fabriano including a comprehensive exhibition of watermarks.

FABRIANO INGRES
This is a mould-made laid paper which is part cotton, part chemical woodpulp in a wide range of colours. The paper is watermarked and has four trimmed edges.
